Koenraad Dedobbeleer responds, with four self-portraits staged in his studio and his apartment, to Bruno Munari’s series of images entitled Ricerca della comodità in una poltrona scomoda (In search of comfort in an uncomfortable armchair), published in 1944 in the review Domus, illustrating, with humor, the proliferation of forms of sitting and their discomfort. These four self-portraits made with Kristien Daem are printed on the front and back of two posters. Here: the artist can be seen in two different spaces: on one side of the image, he is at home; on the other, in his studio. The situations are comically identical.
