The box set presents the 45 covers of Kempens Informatieblad newspapers published by Jef Geys on the occasion of each of his exhibitions or projects, since 1971. The name of the newspaper “Kempens” comes from his home town, where he has always lived. In his newspapers, as in other works by Jef Geys, the private dimension of a personal event is camouflaged in a collective order. Stemming from his local experiences, the artist’s interventions are always anchored in the place of experimentation. Produced within the framework of the Kome exhibition, fall 2012, Cneai.
