Intérieur, neige comes to the end of a research cycle started in 2004 around the question of writing in the space of the film The Shining. Against the conventional wisdom of an a-graphic place, the artist Nicolas Giraud has produced several pieces including a rewrite of Jack Torrance’s typescript, using the film as a typewriter. Pretext, accessory, image, symptom, program, punishment, exorcism, the text crosses all these forms, to stand as a particular example of phantom literature.
